Every day, we help people make their lives better, and every day we encourage our members and participants to commit themselves to the mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Here are three ways you can be a part of the mission of the Downtown YMCA: Y Partners Annual Campaign
Imagine the many ways there are to make a difference in the lives of people in our community. Now imagine you can help make that difference. The YMCA’s annual Y Partners campaign raises funds to assist in our mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Your Y Partner contribution will help change the lives of those who most need YMCA programs. Our 2010 Downtown Y Partners goal is $195,000. If you have given in the past, we thank you and ask that you consider increasing your commitment for 2010. If you are thinking about giving for the first time, we promise you won’t regret it! More than ever, our community needs the services that the Downtown YMCA provides. More than ever, we need you. These funds stay in our local community, to address critical needs and provide scholarships so that no one is turned away from YMCA membership or programs due to financial need. By becoming a Downtown Y Partner, you can do more than imagine a better future – you can make it happen! Capital Campaign
High quality programs that serve the needs of individuals and families in our communities will always be the focal point of our YMCA. The promotion of service to diverse populations and the creation of new programs that serve the entire family is the mandate that we have today and in the future.
To keep pace with the demands and the need for quality programs, additional facilities must be sought. To accomplish this, the Board of Directors has approved a $55 million capital campaign. Our branch goal is $125,000.  We are requesting that you share in a capital investment - one that will help shape the future of our youth, families, and our community. Pledges are sought and payable over the next three to five year period. Gifts in the form of appreciated property and securities are also encouraged. When you respond in a manner worthy of your interest and ability, it assures the success of these projects. Pledges can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or on an annual basis.
We need the YMCA. Our kids need the YMCA. Our communities need the YMCA. Commitment to Community is our response to do all that we can to make sure those needs are met - today and well into the future. By pledging to this campaign you will be joining others in securing the future of the YMCA.
