WHY WE ASK FOR YOUR HELPThe YMCA is more than a “gym and swim” – we are a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization that addresses critical needs in our local community through programs in child care, youth development, school success, fitness and more. Every day, we help people make their lives better, and every day we encourage our members and participants to commit themselves to the mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Here are three ways you can be a part of the mission of YMCA Camp Menogyn: Y Partners Annual Campaign Each year, the YMCA raises funds through our Y Partners campaign. These funds stay in our local community, to address critical needs and provide scholarships so that no one is turned away from Camp Menogyn programs due to financial need.
At YMCA Camp Menogyn, everything we do incorporates the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Camp Menogyn has been building transformational experiences for over 85 years. Our programs encourage youth to develop their full potential in spirit, mind and body. But we don’t do it alone. Thousands of volunteers and donors help to ensure that all youth, regardless of their financial situations, can benefit from YMCA Camp Menogyn programs. We believe that’s essential to building stronger communities and a stronger world. Y Partners 2010 is focusing on these crucial needs: - Building Character
- Increasing Self Confidence
- Making Friends
- Honoring Diversity
- Individualized Goal Setting
- Teamwork
Our 2010 Camp Menogyn Y Partners Goal is $162,000. Find out more about the 2010 Camp Menogyn Y Partners Campaign by reviewing our Mission Impact Sheet. Read our 2009 Report Card to Our Donors.
Capital CampaignHigh quality programs that serve the needs of individuals and families in our communities will always be the focal point of our YMCA. The promotion of service to diverse populations and the creation of new programs that serve the entire family is the mandate that we have today and in the future. To keep pace with the demands and the need for quality programs, additional facilities must be sought. To accomplish this, the Board of Directors has approved a $55 million capital campaign. Our goal is $550,000. We are requesting that you share in a capital investment – one that will help shape the future of our youth, families, and our community. Pledges are sought and payable over the next three to five year period. Gifts in the form of appreciated property and securities are also encouraged. When you respond in a manner worthy of your interest and ability, it assures the success of these projects. Pledges can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or on an annual basis.
We need the YMCA. Our kids need the YMCA. Our communities need the YMCA. Commitment to Community is our response to do all that we can to make sure those needs are met – today and well into the future. By pledging to this campaign you will be joining others in securing the future of the YMCA. We invite you to join us in this campaign, as together we fulfill our Commitment to Community through YMCA Camp Menogyn.
